PowerPlex 2017:

  • Come see us at the Solution Expo at #PowerPlex!
  • We will be doing multiple presentations this year
    • Colin Nowak from Control+M and Veronica Meyer from Principal Manufacturing will be presenting "Tooling Module - a Real Life Implementation" covering both simple and complex Tooling configurations in real life client situations.   Click here for more details 
    • Patti Nowak has been selected to be a panelist in the Women in Manufacturing and Technology session on Wednesday afternoon. This is a great forum for women to share experiences, network and build lasting relationships with peers.  Click here for more details.
    • Colin will be co-presenting with Kevin Clinton of Steel Warehouse on the Plex Finite Scheduler, going over why it is critical to review your finite scheduler and tune it up periodically.  If you are a user of the Finite System, or even considering purchasing the finite scheduler, this will be a great way to learn more about it.  Click here for more details.
    • Join Patti Tuesday May 9 from 12:30 – 1:00 pm for a live demo on Understanding Real Manufacturing Costs in a Standard Cost Environment in the Plex Experience Lab.  Patti will be demo’ing the reports and cost records that will show actual material, labor and overhead costs as compared to standard. After the demo we’ll be happy to entertain any questions you may have about setting this up in your PCN. No need to register.

February 2017:  Welcome Mr. Zack Farley, CPA to our team!  Zack comes to us with years of advanced Costing and Accounting experience.  We are thrilled to have Zack aboard and are excited about all the clients we can help with his assistance.  Thanks for joining us Zack!


January 2017:  Welcome Mr. Keith Krans to the Control+M team!  Keith joins us from Plex and brings a great deal of Plex experience and we are so pleased that he has joined us!


November 2016:   Patti presented the Plex Sales/CRM module offerings to the CA User Group in the Plex Irvine office.  Patti, Colin and Bruce worked along with Joyce Luchetti and Becky Veryser to hold their first meeting and organize the building of their group.  What a great opportunity to get the west coast folks a chance to network and to learn more about Plex.


October 2016: Kevin presented an Overview of Workflow Concepts and led a hands-on workshop with User Group attendees building & testing stand-alone workflows at the WI-IL User Group meeting October 6 at Ultra Tool & Manufacturing, Inc.


April 2016:  Patti presented Maximum Material Utilization at PowerPlex, reviewing how she worked with Kevin Clinton, CIO at Steel Warehouse to design a configuration for steel profiling, nest software integration and Control Panel simplicity.  Thank you to all who attended - we appreciate your great reviews and comments.  See the Plex community or contact Patti to review the presentation.

March 2016: Colin presented an Introduction to IntelliPlex at the March 10 WI-IL Plex User Group meeting  - at SSI Technologies in Janesville.   


February 2016:  Control+M Solutions is proud to announce the newest member of our team, Mr. Kevin Poppe.  Kevin joins our team having worked with Plex for over 7 years, and is an active member of the Plex community, having led PowerPlex workshops and participated in several regional user group events. 

Through industry experience and consulting, Kevin has worked on nine implementation projects and numerous optimization initiatives in the appliance, automotive, and electronics industries.  While he has a great deal of familiarity with all modules, his specific expertise lies in Quality, Quoting, Program Management and Human Resource functions.

Kevin joins Colin Nowak, who came to Control+M last year.  Colin has been working with multiple clients focusing in Production, Finite Scheduling, Planning, Tooling, Maintenance, and report writing including IntelliPlex and VisionPlex.  He came to Control+M with multiple years of experience in manufacturing, petrochemical, and renewable energy. 

Kevin's skillset is a welcome complement to Colin and myself, and brings to our clients nearly 20 years combined comprehensive Plex experience and greater consulting service availability.



January 2016:  The PowerPlex 2016 Content Committee extends an invitation to Kevin Clinton, CIO of Steel Warehouse and Patti Nowak, Owner of Control+M Solutions, LLC to deliver a presentation on Maximum Material Utilization at PowerPlex 2016.  The presentation, which his geared toward both basic and advanced users, is scheduled for Wednesday, April 27, 10:30:00 AM - 11:20:00 AM in the Manufacturing Management Track. 

The presentation will cover fully integrating the order, planning, part nesting, material selection, and job creation, creating a smooth and efficient business flow reducing waste of labor and material. Learn how Steel Warehouse connects Plex and their nesting software to achieve "incredible efficiencies", an optimized Control Panel and a production reporting interface that is more accurate and easy to use.



December 2015:  Congratulations to Seven Marine, LLC, for their conversion to Plex!   The team put forth a terrific effort, getting this amazing product line manufactured in Plex.  Check out their website – watch the videos and listen to the engines roar!

August 2015: Control+M Solutions is proud to announce that Mr. Colin Nowak has joined the Plex System Implementation team as Solutions Architect. Colin has an engineering degree from the University of Wisconsin – Madison and has over five years of industry experience in manufacturing, petrochemical, and renewable energy and their related ERP systems.  He has a great depth of knowledge with multiple manufacturing, engineering and quality initiatives, which will help Control + M, bring you best practices from multiple industries.

Colin is currently working with multiple Plex clients on optimization projects, module updates and report writing.   Please join me in welcoming Colin to the team!
